Yesterday we travelled through three states – NSW, Victoria and South Australia!
It felt a little bit like we were going around in circles at times, but we made it here! At least the scenery was interesting and ever changing.
On arriving in South Australia we gained 1/2 hour due to the time difference so that was good. We arrived in Port Augusta, drove straight to the park and checked in at 4.45pm, by 5pm were fully set up! We thought we were quick with the tent, but this takes it to another level!
We checked into the Big 4 caravan park, we’ve stayed here before and it’s great. The amenities are big and clean and the camp kitchen is one of the best we’ve ever seen …. I don’t normally use camp kitchens because they are either useless or dirty, but this one is better than some kitchens in your house!
It’s freezing this morning so while George is outside making coffee, I’m sitting in bed finishing writing the blog because it’s too cold to go out and pack up! Phone is charging in the camper via one of its USB charging points, didn’t have this luxury with the tent!
Today we have about 770km drive to our overnight stop at Marla.

We are George & Shelly, a married couple from Sydney, Australia, who love 4WDing, camping and travelling this great country of ours. We love sharing our adventures and hope to inspire others to travel as well. Join us on our journeys around Australia!
